MacroJump — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026 · MacroJump is built by Dikodis · Contact: dev@dikodis.com

The short version: your macros, your tickets, and your customers' data never leave your computer. MacroJump reads them in your browser, searches them in your browser, and that's it. We receive nothing at all — there is no server, no account, and no tracking.

1. What MacroJump does

MacroJump is a Chrome extension for Zendesk Support agents. It adds a keyboard-driven search palette (Cmd-K / Ctrl-K) that finds the right macro in a large macro library and inserts its reply text into the Zendesk composer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Zendesk.

2. What stays on your device — always

All of the following is stored only in your browser's local extension storage. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party:

Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it. You can also clear it at any time with Disconnect in the extension popup.

3. Your Zendesk connection

You authorize MacroJump through Zendesk's own OAuth consent screen. We request the minimum read-only access needed:

MacroJump cannot send replies, change ticket status, modify macros, or write anything to your Zendesk — the access we request is read-only. We never ask for your Zendesk password and never use your session cookies. Requests go directly from your browser to your own Zendesk account; they do not pass through any server of ours. You can revoke access at any time in Zendesk under Admin Center → Apps and integrations → APIs → OAuth Clients.

4. What we actually receive

Nothing. MacroJump has no server and no account system. We do not receive your email address, your name, your macros, your tickets, or any usage data. There is no payment processing because the extension is free.

Specifically, MacroJump does not collect usage analytics, telemetry, crash reports, browsing history, search queries, IP-based location, or any behavioural tracking. There are no advertising or analytics trackers in the extension, and no third-party services receive your data.

5. What we never do

6. Permissions, and why each one is needed

PermissionReason
storageSave your settings and cache macros locally so search is instant.
identityOpen Zendesk's official OAuth consent screen.
offscreenRun the on-device AI search model, which cannot run in a Chrome extension's background worker.
https://*.zendesk.com/*Show the palette inside Zendesk and read your macros from the Zendesk API.

7. Data retention

Everything MacroJump stores lives in your own browser and persists until you disconnect or uninstall. We hold no records about you, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete.

8. Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you have rights of access, correction, export and deletion over personal data a company holds about you. We hold none: no account, no email, no usage records. Macro and ticket content never reaches us, so there is nothing for us to disclose or delete — uninstalling the extension removes everything. If you have a question, email dev@dikodis.com and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

MacroJump is a workplace tool and is not directed at anyone under 16.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and note the change in the extension's store listing. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
